guess the coat type

Delight and bobos five pups.... mum is smooth dad is rough... any guesses on puppies coat types??? go on... have a guess

I was told to determine (or guess at) coat type, you examine the hair on the back of the front legs. If it's kind of wavy and forms a ridge, it's a rough. What method do you use to determine coat type? How accurate is the method? Adorable little chubs. Makes me want another.

this is the method i used...

i found we had 3 roughs 2 smooths... turns out we have 3 roughs 2 midi/confused coats!!! not sure how long they will be but not as smooth as a smooth however the 3 i thought were rough are "proper" roughs so i guess it worked well.... this time!

Cheri, when do freckles appear? I know North American breeder pride themselves on producing freckleless Saints, but I absolutely adore freckled muzzles.

they start to come at about 2 weeks old...

to be fair i prefer no freckles at all... but my favorite dog in the whole world has a fair few ....

i dont really mind freckles on the face but cant stand a heavily spotted dog ( on its white fur of the legs) just not for me at all

I adore a freckled muzzle, but like you, I'm not partial to ticking on the legs. Are the two genetically related (same gene)?

my most frecked dog is dasher, she also has ticking on her legs.... the rest of her litter are clean faced and not ticked at all....
