PostSubject: Application of eye drops and ointment   Application of eye drops and ointment Icon_minitimeThu Dec 19, 2013 8:09 am

Anya has developed an eye infection and we have to put drops and ointment in four times a day. The first couple of times I managed, however she is now fighting with me to stop me from putting them in.

Anyone got any suggestions - I've tried bribing with treats, that doesnt work and tried subtle, that didnt work.

Nightmare as she is normally the most placid and loving girl, but understandibly not enjoying this experience Sad

mine seem to naturally "back away" so if im stuck alone I straddle them near a corner and they always fall for it and back themselves into the corner  Wink and in it goes!!!

poor anya , sending her lots of love....

We're now down to twice a day, she is too clever and it takes two of us to get them in!

We've taken the decision to have her eyes done as her eye lids were turning in and scratching her corneas. Went to see a specialist on Monday and they did the op there and then. She looks so much better and is more comfortable.

Well worth it to have a happy lady

Hi Cheri,

Far from it she didn't look hideous at all - she looks so much better and instant comfort. Back to the specialist for review on Friday but its all looking good, will be glad when we can stop the eye drops.

Big kiss delivered and Anya sends big kisses back to you - will try and get a photo and upload it - if she'll sit still long enough!!

Nelson sends big kisses too xx
