| Ali what's the protein level in the large size puppy kibble?
have you ever had anyone have problems with giant breeds growing up 'wonky'?

| The other fish4dogs puppy food is 30%.. thats ALOT compared to the puppy food I have fed in past.. it depends on what kind of protein it is as to what effect it has on the pups.. She's the 1st wonky one I've had bless but she wasnt raised on F4D, I changed onto that, adult form & it brought her more level
Am just interested to know before I actually want to use it to wean & rear & litter

| Hi Guys, What do you all consider the best Protein and Oil content in a complete adult food ? I am a little confused I uasually feed Royal Canin Giant adult to both Bud and Bhindi but just noticed the protein level is 28% !!!!!!!! I am so used to feeding toy breeds with high metabulisms. I am worried about finding the best for the biggies. Also they never seem to do firm poo's not squits more like cow pats !!!lol I saw another breeder on here feeds Dr Johns and tripe or mince, I looked into this Dr Johns and it is 18% protein and only £10 a 15 kilo bag for the gold standard so I bought one and have fed it to them with tripe they eat all of it and really like it but I am worried it wouldn't be good enough for them in the long run (always been taught you only get what you pay for) and their poo's are better on this and not sooooo much of it. Any thoughts would be apreciated. Tony,Bud&Bhindi | |

| The analysis of Finest Fish4Puppies Large Bite Kibble is the same as the original puppy kibble size: Cod 34% Protein 30% Potato 21.3% Oil 14% Herring Meal 26.5% Ash 8% Salmon Oil 9.6% Fibre 2% Beet Fibre 5.2% Vitamin A 20,000 iu/kg Brewers Yeast 2.0% Vitamin D3 1,200 iu/kg Minerals 0.8 % Vitamin E 130 iu/kg Vitamins 0.6% Copper 18 mg/kg Calorific value 357 Kcal/100gm Plus a full complement of over 30 vitamins and trace minerals needed for a daily, healthy diet for puppies. I am not aware of any 'wonky' Fish4Dogs customers (or their dogs!) so I guess we must have the perfect ingredient list at the perfect ratio! Mawreddog - if you email me your contact details, including postal address, number of dogs etc I will add your gang to our Tasting Panel Ali ali@fish4dogs.com | |

| i've just ordered more of the Salmon Oil & a bag of the salmon food as the 2 dogs i have that suffer intolerence to the AG I feed the others. Since they have been on the Fish4 they have shown some improvements along with the oil, so I will carry on with it for those at the moment.
I received some of the puppy food too, its great, the puppy loved it (even the Great Dane pinched some!!), nice big kibble for her too !! Only worry i have, with the oil & the food, is i have an allergy to fish & when i handle it it gets on my hands, so that is something i have to be aware of!! |

| Raw liver does that to me! I have to say the only minus I have found with the F4D food as yet is their breathe smells of fish (obviously!) & these drink & burp alot .. grim | |

| We were feeding Anya on Natural Dog Food company kibble, however Nelson was on F4D, so we moved Anya onto that. Their coats are lovely and they love the food and the treats - I had to get over the smell especially when you open the treats. I am also impressed at the bulk discount and also the additional discount for being in the puppy club - shame that will come to an end soon!
Would recommend this food to anyone - the quality of service is good too!
How did yours get on with the squid Cheri?

| Hi Tracy!
Han loves his F4D treats and the Salmon Oil is just fantastic for his coat, pads and I hope for joints too, but to come back to you on the squid question (although you addressed it to Cheri), I tried Han on various types of F4D treats, including squid, but that did not seem to be as well received as the sea jerky - I order the chunky cubes for Han - they seem just the right size for him and he goes wild for them - for us the squid was a bit of a non event!!

| the squid went down fine.... such a small bag so it lasted for 2mins only but they enjoyed it! i wish the bits were bigger though.
we always buy the bogof 1.9kilo treats! saves me a fourtune!!!
and the salmon oil aswell on offer is great.
tracy..... all i can say is maybe its time for another puppy if your going to miss being a puppy club member.......................................
