| You have a beautiful family Cheri. It was nice to finally see a photo of Darcey... and she's all grown up... where did the time go? I just LOVE Barney with his freckles... what a doll. | |

| Cheri, I have a question for you. I have three Newfs and know all to well how much of the outside they bring inside with them. They blow coat twice a year, and shed moderately throughtout the remainder of the year. Norm is a SMOOTH because I wanted a dog with less grooming needs, one that wouldn't mat, a "wash 'n' wear" pup that always looked good - and Norm is all those things. What I didn't expect was the PHENOMENAL amount of shedding. Norm sheds more each day than all my Newfs combined for a week. Am I doing something wrong? I brush Norm daily, wash him monthly, and blow out his coat using a high velocity dryer weekly... and now I'm vacuuming him daily as well... and he is still a shedding machine. Any tips on how I can enjoy my Saint and not have to vacuum twice daily? | |

cheri Norm gets 6000 mg of wild sockeye salmon oil per day, as do my Newfs. He's 11 months old tomorrow, so I haven't really experienced a full year's cycle of shedding... so maybe he's loosing the remanents of his puppy coat??? | |

| Shel,
My mom's smooth sheds just as bad (if not worse) than my rough! She just doesn't get matted as easily!
Good luck! | |
