i have noticed alot of puppys that are for sale are sitting on sawdust?

surely it will cause breathing problems??

do you bed your puppies on sawdust without any problems?

its not something i would do mine are on tiled floor( textured not slippy!) and newspaper to toilet on ? with a crate set up as a bed area in the puppy room and a blanket out of the crate aswell so theres plenty of room for everyone!

what do you put your puppies on ??

Only my big dogs are on shavings when they are out in the barn..
The fur babies have their 2 vets beds in corner of room, rest of room is newspaper on top of rubber matting on top of tiles.. I have found in past even textured tiles with paper on are slippery when wet.
Usually I have a crate in the corner of the whelping area to avoid mum squashing the babies but we are mumless now so taken crate out & added another vet bed
