at what age do you put your saint on senior food rather than adult?

or do you keep them on adult until the end?

I was told 6 by my vet. But the food I feed is an all stages grain free (novel protein) kibble so they won't go on a senior food. They need good quality protein their whole lives. only when kidney problems arise should they be put on a kibble with low protein. The protein itself does not cause the kidney problems. I am just to add a glucosamine supplement for their joints.

We never use Senior Food and we have been very lucky to get many of our Saints to a very good age! We lost Hetty this year at 13 and have Hatty and Molly here who are nearly 11, so must be doing something right!!!!!
