Expecting Puppies :-)

So far we have 3 live girls gorgeous
1 still born of each
Millie doing great
And 5 turkey chicks
Cheri was right when she said they would all come at once lol

We have 9 girls & 1 boy at the moment :-)
Cleo as we have named miracle girl, was 4th born & stillborn. I spent 10 mins trying to revive her, but she was completely flat & unresponsive & we laid her on a towel on the side for a while.
I wrapped her in newspaper & put her in a cardboard box next to her stillborn brother, for us to bury later.
2 HOURS later I could hear crying & was led to this same cardboard box, where we unwrapped Cleo who was screaming her head off... not completely stillborn!!!!
This is the hardest litter I have whelped so far.. with a few wedged in, floppy & then Cleo!!
There is possibly still one within so we will see if that emerges later on today.
The rest of the gang are doing great including Cleo who at 1lb is half the size of her litter mates, but seems to be hanging in there.
I still cant upload pics to here but have asked Kathy to do it for me

the problem with puppies like cleo you want to keep them!

i had the same thing here with masie her kc name is "ourfairviews magic miricle" she was hard to revive and was very weak to succle in the end i dropper fed her for a week ands shes fighting fit now just a bad entry into the world

it surprises me how "smooth" they look at birth

This was a rough rough mating, Millie was mated to Ch Carashon Take a Chance To Chandlimore - the lovely Chico. I am known for my love of full mante coats, but am thrilled at the markings this litter has taken.
We have no idea why the 1st puppy was stillborn, he was 1lb 11oz, around the same as the rest of the litter & didn't appear to have any deformities. Millie wasn't long pushing him out either, so I guess we just accept its one of those things.
The kids named the stillborn pup Dougie & have decorated a shoe box with pictures of Rainbow Bridge on it for him to be buried in, so even though i am knackered, am covered in all sorts of whelping yuck & its like a monsoon outside, we are about to trot outside & give Dougie a funeral.

you do have alot of splash backs i love them daisy was very splashed when we got her yet it has shrank alot over the last two years and is now alot smaller

i guess after the funeral a shower and coffee will be well and truely needed! let the fun begin!

My nightmare litter are now 6 weeks old & doing great.. hoorah!!

I can't upload pics here still but I have uploaded then to my Facebook albums.

I am thrilled to say that Cleo (aka Drop Dead Fred) will be going to live with Sheryl & her family who have recently lost Molly ( I think Sunnysher on here?)
Only 12 sleeps for them
She is quite a celebrity here now.. everyone asks "oooh is that the DEAD one????" heheheh
