To whom it may concern,

I am a student studying at the university of Malta and I own a female saint Bernard, however I have been working part time to keep up with vet and food bills, and however I managed to save some money and I wish to breed my female.
However I found a company from Ireland which are willing to send me frozen semen, but the problem is that I only found Champion semen. I am not looking for the best dog in show, I am only looking for a beautiful, well tempered male which is not so expensive.
I am emailing you so that if you have any members willing to sell me some saint Bernard semen which might afford, can you please forward me their email address?
Obviously I'm looking for a nice dog with a nice temperament, but may not be the champion, if you might understand me.
I contacted Trade Genetics which are willing to transport me frozen semen to Malta, if you have any contacts to any semen transportation company can you also forward me their email address please?

You will find that the cost of semen is the same over here whether the dog is a champion or not. Usually the price of a puppy £1000 plus the collection costs approx £250 & then the shipping costs, approx £200 to Malta I would imagine. With the costs being the same, it would make just as much sense to use a Champion dog as it would any other dog. It is not a cheap option!

Why would Trade Genetics agree to send her semen from a Champion Dog ? Surely there would have to be permission from the Owner of the Dog etc and full details of the Female to be sent to them ?

Trade Genetics are only the collecting & shipping agent for the owner - none of this could be done without the permission of the stud dog owner
